Students need thirty (30) hours in addition
to the Bachelors requirements. A Master of Arts in Theology differs
from the Biblical Studies Masters in that 15 hours of
pastoral counseling courses
is required.
The Th.M. will be awarded without NCCA
membership. All certification and professional fees, if any, must be
paid to the NCCA at time of Professional Certification.
The basic requirements for the M.A. in Biblical Studies must be met.
However, this degree is more restricted due to the number and kind of
courses needed for Professional Certification and License.
All credits are transferred to NCCA
for the Licensed Clinical Pastoral
Counselor, Advance Certification. Additional NCCA processing fees
are involved and a "mentor" process must be completed. In addition,
the degree candidate must complete a total of 24 hours of counseling
credits.
